Victorian 9ct Gold & Enamel Mourning Hair Brooch/Pendant - A beautiful Victorian 9ct gold cartouche shaped mourning brooch/pin plated with black enamel and scolloped scroll border detail. Beveled glass compartment containing a woven hair memento (can be removed) and surrounded by split pearls. Inscrbed ' Sarah Appleyard - Born 16th Dec 1804 - Died 12th Jun 1886' on the reverse. C-catch tube hinge and extended pin stem findings. Also has pendant loop attachment. Brooch measures approx 5cm (2 " ) wide X 4cm (1.57 " ) tall. Circa 1880. -- INV.No.116-065 -- £245.00
