A rare and simply gorgeous Victorian Gold Gilt Gem set Austro-Hungarian festoon necklace, comprising of a central row of 3 beautiful large circular panels inset with Round Cut Amethysts, Square Cut Peridots, Pearls and each with a green Chrysoprase tear drop. Central Panel has a beautiful oval drop panel inset with lovely Peridots and Amethyst center stone with a lovely Baroque Pearl drop. Interspaced beautifully by 4 smaller oval panels each inset with with a lovely Blister Pearl, Peridot , Amethysts and a Chrysoprase dropper. The interconnecting links are each beautifully inset with Mother of Pearl cabochons and a beautiful Round Cut Ametyst dropper. Lovely festoon chain connecting each panel. All beautifully suspended from a lovely 43cm (16.3 " ) figure of eight link chain inset with Amethyst cabochons and Pearls. Further interspaced by beautiful floral panels with Square Cut peridot center stones and beautiful blue enamel inlay. Exquisite workmanship throughout. Spring ring safety clasp. Circa 1870.
